My Students

We service a majority population of underrepresented and poverty stricken youth, however, our school community creates an amazingly safe environment, where our students feel free to reach higher heights and deeper depths academically and socially.

My students are an enthusiastic bunch of urban youth who adore music!

They come to school each day and are eager to dive into new experiences and new adventures. I love that they never let anything hold them back! I am a very fortunate teacher!

My Project

These materials will help my students perfect their aural skills will singing, as well as provide an avenue for accompanying various types of singing and instrumental activities. Learning the fundamentals of instrument playing are important skills in general music and build the bridge to life long instrumentalist. Orff instruments all the young student to learn, apply, and appreciate the basics of musical accompaniment all while having fun and memorable experiences. Playing C and G while singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat in a round to accompanying Sound of Music's Do, Re, Mi to learn and sing scales, orff instruments are essential to learning in the elementary music classroom!
