My Students
Our students at HHS range in age from 3-5 years old. HHS provides services to low-income families in the community and provides a range of learning activities in several different domains. I love the fact that they are always excited about learning and trying new things. The smiles on their faces when they accomplish something that they have been working hard on just melt my heart.
My Project
The materials requested will be used to promote literacy, family engagement, large motor, cooperation, classification, learning different kinds of leaves, etc. The activity will be a family event where the families will meet the staff at a local trail. The "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt" book will be read to the group, and the group will then be sent on their way to go explore the trail and see what kind of leaves they are able to find from the book. After the activity is completed, families will enjoy a picnic-style meal together.
