My Students

I have 20 inquisitive 2nd grade students who love to learn on the computer! They have computer skills that many would envy! Unfortunately, they need help using those skills to increase their learning and improve their self esteem.

With our changing economy, the student population is changing as well.

Not all of the students in my class have a computer available for them to use at home, so we need to have them available during school to reinforce reading and math skills.

My Project

We are fortunate enough to have many computers available for my students to use. Unfortunately, we don't have accessories for the students to use! We need headsets for the students to benefit from the computerized programs available and increase their reading and math abilities.

Technology is an ever evolving tool used by educators to increase learning in classrooms today.

During our writing block, my students are learning how to write small moments. This is a process that ends with the students publishing their stories. Can you imagine their faces if they were able to print color pictures that illustrate their story? In order for them to do this I need a color printer. This will help to improve the students' motivation during writing in my classroom. It will also help make colorful anchor charts to enrich our learning environment. Please help me bring some color into the classroom!
