This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a 12:1+1 special education classroom in the South Bronx. Many of my students have learning disabilities. The school is located in a high poverty area.
My students are faced with hardships everyday; yet, they come to school eager to learn.
Despite obstacles put in their way, my students strive to reach their potential. School is their safe haven where I strive to provide them with all the knowledge I can with the resources that are available to me.
My Project
My class and I were very lucky when we received a colored HP printer from a previous Donors Choose project. It has made such a huge difference in our classroom. I am able to print out color coded differentiated worksheets, checklists and diagrams for my special needs students. All of these materials have greatly helped my students to learn. The problem is that we are running out of ink. We want to continue using the wonderful piece of technology we have in our classroom, but we need some ink to keep it running. Please help us to restock our ink supply!
