My Project

A listening station will allow Multilingual Learners (MLS) in my classroom to read along to their favorite books independently.

With both auditory and visual input, students will build their automaticity in word recognition and gain confidence in their own reading skills.

Being the only teacher in the classroom I am only able to give my attention to 1-2 groups of students during station teaching; the rest of the students have to engage in independent work. This listening station with read-alongs and headphones allows students more opportunities to engage with physical books while being guided by pre-recorded audio.
