Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are "koala-ty" learners that attend a Title I-funded school in Hawthorne, CA. My students have unique strengths, but one thing they have in common is a strong love of learning. Although they may not have a lot of resources to keep up with the ever changing world, they are always up for the challenge of learning something new.

In this class, we build a community of lifelong learners.

My students are constantly working hard and eager to learn. Coming back from this crazy year, I want to make sure that my eager students have access to a variety of resources.

I strive to make our classroom, in person and from a distance, the best environment possible where my students can express themselves creatively and be exposed to all sorts of learning experiences.

My Project

My students love to learn! In a classroom of 31 students, there are a variety of learners, all that are eager to learn about the concepts that are being introduced to them. Having earbuds for each child will allow them to take ownership of classroom materials, and have access to the learning that is going on in the classroom, and learning videos.

These earbuds will help my students when we go on virtual field trips, listen to stories being read to them, and listen to math problems being explained to them in different ways.

These earbuds will help my students learn in the way that works best for them, fostering a continued love of learning!

In addition, in working towards maintaining a sense of community in my classroom, we work together to keep our room clean and safe. With COVID, these wipes will help us keep our shields clean.
