My Students

When I step in front of my classroom at the beginning of the day and look at my students, I know that a great day awaits me. My students greet me with smiles, questions, and eager faces; they are ready to learn, and I am ready to teach them all that I can.

My students are incredible, curious, adept, and capable learners.

My students speak different languages (over 19 languages at our school) and all have tremendous talent to share with each other. My students jump into their daily learning with zeal. They work together, laugh together, learn together, and share everything in their classroom community.

My Project

Our 4th grade class will be transforming into a fully immersed science lab soon! Thanks to donors of previous projects, we are almost there! These science resources will help complete our transition into a science informed classroom -the very first science elementary 4th grade lab class in our area!

Let's give these 4th grade scientists a jump start into science learning with quality science books and additional microscopes for daily scientific studies!

Students will use these visual guides as reference materials to learn more about biology, chemistry, engineering, and technology. The experiment books will help us do energy experiments (part of our SEED standards) and go deep into how energy is transferred and stored! Want to know how the water cycle works? Want to know why the Earth orbits the sun? Want to learn about insect biology? No problem! These Smithsonian and DK science reference books will help each student find the information they need. When questions abound, students will have instant access to science information.

Students will care for and maintain our science equipment and microscopes. These additional microscopes will give students the opportunity to work in smaller groups giving more students access to the microscopes at a time. Students will have the ability to get up close and personal with bugs, leaves, and pond water at a microscopic level!

Help us reach our goal of transitioning into a 4th grade science lab class, with these materials! Thank you.
