Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working in an inner-city school, we as a staff are motivated to improve the overall wellness and mental health of our students. Our students are artists as our school is an arts and performance school. We have started to create a wellness space where students can decompress and work through their emotions in a fun and artistic space. Our kids will be working with trained staff members and be given tools to help with crises, and emotions, and have a safe space away from the normal day-to-day school routine.
