My Students

My students are a richly diverse group of kids. We are a Title 1 School and serve students from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Last year, 17 out of my 29 students spoke languages other than English!

My students are curious and eager to learn, despite often having limited resources.

At school, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies and provide the students a safe and comfortable place to learn. With your help, we can continue to provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

My Project

Students need a safe and comfortable environment to learn in. Our classroom does not currently have adequate seating options.

With ineffective and unsafe seating, students are unable to concentrate and focus on the important classroom activities in front of them.

With new stools, students will have seating that is an appropriate height for their tables and prevent dangerous rocking in their chairs.

I am hoping to provide my students with the most effective and comfortable learning environment possible. With new seating, students will be able to focus on their work rather than their discomfort and the furniture that continues to break beneath them.
