This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of materials to support our first grade students in beginning the school year! I work with an amazing team of teachers; we work together and "share" students throughout the year. These materials I am requesting will not only benefit my homeroom class, but it will also benefit ALL of the students I get to work with - that's about 85 students!

I am requesting a variety of materials to support the environment!

I am requesting basic classroom furniture such as storage drawers and a pocket chart holder. These materials are essential for day-to-day organization and they highly support the flow of the classroom! In addition to these furniture basics, I have asked for book character stuffed animals to add to our classroom library! The students ADORE these characters and having them in our class library will surely boost their engagement! I will use velcro dots on the floor; this helps students to know where to stand in line!

I am also requesting a variety of classroom supplies to last us the year. Young learners require a large quantity of these consumable materials, as they are learning the basic skills of responsibility with materials! We will need everything ranging from pencils, erasers, markers, dry erase pockets, and glue sticks! Having all these materials ready at the beginning of the school year will support my classroom in an incredible way! I will truly use all of these materials throughout the year!

Last, I am requesting a variety of classroom basics to support the functioning of the room! I need a laminator and laminating sheets to create quality materials for the classroom. I requested batteries to support the small items in my classroom! I need magnets for hanging items on the board as well!
