This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As Spanish teacher, I have one goal: to develop my students’ ability to communicate in the target language. For the last four years I taught Spanish to a group of amazing students. We move from major paradigm shift that includes verb conjugation charts, grammar rules, and vocabulary lists toward more student-centered activities that provide target language input in a meaningful and authentic way.

Middle school students need to learn fundamentals that they will need for harder high school curricula.

In addition, I need to prepare an adequate and fair environment for students with special needs and heritage and native speakers. To develop diverse strategies for my lessons, but also for family engagement, I would like to build bridges Around the World in countries where people speak Spanish.

My students at all three grade levels need variety and active classroom environment. Thus, it is important not only to receive the knowledge but to understand while there are not becoming bored. This project will allow me to create an innovative classroom setting that work with hands-on experiences while we learn during the pandemic situation.

My Project

Integrating an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil technology into my classroom allows my students to play and have fun while they learn. This essentially effective technology integration will contribute to the curriculum and enhance the learning process. In addition, these materials will support four key components of learning: active engagement, participation in groups, frequent interaction and feedback and connection to the travels for the Spanish speaking countries. This technology will be active part of our classroom routine but provides transparent use and supports curricular goals. Besides, this project contributes at the safety environment of my students because they will automatically navigate the internet safely, communicate effectively and respectfully, and handle other digital dilemmas in an adequate manner.
