My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds and from all over the world. Their stories are what make them special and when all of us come together in one classroom and work together despite our difference we can grow.

I want to create an environment where my students feel welcome and safe to make mistakes and take chances.

Many of my students have strained home lives and I want my classroom to be a place they can come and not worry about the problems and stressors they may have at home.

When students aren't excited about the space they have to spend their day it is difficult to get them to want to be there. This is their space and I want them to enjoy being in it. Even as adults, our workspace and environment make a difference. When it is a welcoming space we are all more productive and in a better mood. Having curtains, a diffuser, a welcome mat, and colorful borders will help liven our portable classroom up. The puzzles are for classroom management. When they class is working together and being productive they will get a piece of the puzzle. Once the puzzle is complete the class will earn a reward.
