This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As we start to open up our schools to the students, my classroom could use a few more materials so that my kiddos have everything they need to succeed. The students I have seen so far are so excited to be back in the classroom, but a lot of technology is still being used. I want to make the classroom comfortable to learn in and to grow in. I want to start displaying work the kids to well on for everyone to see and I have them see what we are doing each day in class as they walk in

My Project

As we continue to have students come back, as a new double dose teacher in a new school I am dedicated to making sure all my students have the materials they need to succeed. Some students have started to come to campus so I want to prepare more as we get more and more kids coming back. I want them to feel that they need everything they need to do classwork, homework and I want them to feel like they have a safe space to ask questions and seek help when needed. I want to start displaying their work on the walls of the classroom, I need to make a background and border for my "Monthly Einsteins." I would also like for them to walk in and look in one specific spot for them to know what the date is and what lesson we are doing for the day. Every morning we have a 'Morning Mindfulness' where they have breakfast and we talk, the big book of why was something I had growing up so reading and discovering from that book would get their brains going early in the morning
