My Students

This is a very trying and stressful time during the pandemic. Keeping the children safe at school and feeling welcome is what I strive to do every day. We have many students at our school who attend both in-person and have virtual learning. Many students have had to switch at a moment's notice from in-person to virtual. Before winter break, our entire county went to "RED," we all had to teach and learn virtually. With the rising numbers of Covid in TN, we have to prepare each day to be ready to go "Red" again at any time. While we are in the classroom, I want to not only teach my student the standards and objectives but also learn about diversity in the world. We need to teach our students, understanding, empathy, and diversity. We need to learn about different cultures in our world and to love each other for who we are!

My Project

My students will have many feelings as they enter their new classroom in August. Coming back to school can be scary, exciting, and make a student feel a bit nervous.

This Welcome Back to School Packet will my students feel welcome, happy, and comfortable coming back to school for the new year!

Every year, students get excited for their new school year. These goody bags, decorations, and the warm feeling of seeing welcome back decorations all over the classroom will help the children feel comfortable and at ease as they enter my classroom.
