Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Making students excited about returning to school is very important. I want to help my students become excited and feel welcomed by creating a positive and fun first day to prepare them for the rest of the school year. The materials I am requesting will allow me to give them a wonderful first day of school with the aloha spirit by decorating their classroom in a Hawaiian, tropical theme.

They will need new pencil boxes to get organized, they will receive a lei to welcome them on their first day.

We will read a Hawaiian cultural story about ohana-family to remind them that our class is a family. And, we will end the day with a tropical smoothie treat. We can't wait to start this school year! Thank you for your help and support in making our first day and the rest of the school year special.
