Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are ELL learners and live in a low-income neighborhood. As several schools nationwide, we had to make the decision to learn remotely or hybrid learning and presented us with many learning challenges. However, it did not discourage students from learning, and instead, my students work harder than before. We are approaching a new school year in September with all of our students returning to full in person learning. My coteacher and I are eager to welcome back our students to our side by side Dual Language Classrooms.

My Project

These materials will help our students start the school year fresh. Many of our students are returning from being remote last year. Some of our parents struggled to provide materials last year due to unemployment or not enough money to buy supplies for all their children. Last year we were able to successfully provide materials to our students through donor choose and allowed our students to have all the materials necessary for the academic year. All of our parents were very appreciated of the donation and a little relieved of the pressure to figure out a way to get school supplies. Please help us provide materials for our students in order for them to start the school without any stress .
