This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are resilient, curious, and eager to learn. No matter the challenge, they push forward with determination, always ready to explore new ideas. One of the things that makes our classroom special is their love for reading. Thanks to our school’s fun accelerated reader program, my students begin and end each day with a book in their hands, striving to improve their reading skills throughout the year. Their excitement for stories and learning is contagious, and I want to provide them with even more engaging books to feel their passion.
The my weird school early chapter book series will be the perfect addition to our classroom library because these books are high interest, humorous, and just the right level to help my students transition into longer chapter books with confidence.
By adding these resources, my students will have access to books that not only entertain but also challenge them to grow as readers. With your support, they will have more opportunities to build, fluency, comprehension, and most importantly, a lifelong love of reading.
