How can you possibly excel in science when you don't even understand it? I want my students to love and appreciate science as much as I do. I want them to understand it.
My students are very eager and bright 5th grade students.
They are poverty to middle class. The school is a small rural school in Arkansas. The school is wonderful but unfortunately lacks the funds to purchase many of the things needed in a successful classroom.
My Project
This microscope will give my students a chance to experience science. It will be more than reading about it in a book. Many students have trouble seeing through a microscope. The digital microscope will definitely help them view things on a microscopic level. Some things need to be seen and experienced to be understood.
I want my students to have the opportunity to learn and grow.
I want them to have a deeper understanding and appreciation for science. I want them to know that science is much more than just a subject in school.
