This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Weights! Weights! Weights! We need weighted vests and speed parachutes to take our workouts to the next level. High School Cross Country, Track and Field, Soccer, Football, and Volleyball teams will all use these materials during pre-season, in-season, and post-season workouts. This is our first year in our building and as we are growing the athletic program and we are reflecting on what works, what doesn't, and what we can do to make it work.

Several coaches, including myself, have decided we need to add more resistance training to our workout regimen.

The vests and parachutes will increase the intensity of the workouts and increase endurance of our athletes during competition. As coaches, we want the best for our student-athletes. Eventually, we will allow our 8th graders (from our feeder school) to work out with the high schoolers. We are very excited for the future of our athletics programs and greatly appreciate the support we receive from donors like you!
