My Students

I am a special education teacher in a local city school system. I am hoping to add wobble stools to my classroom for a few reasons. First, the chairs in my current room are wide and make it difficult for students to sit around the table without the chair legs catching each other. As it is now, three can sit around the table, and it would be nice if I could fit six. Second, wobble stools are good for students to help them stay focused while working. It also eliminates kids falling out of chairs because they don't lean back in them as they do with the chairs with four legs.

There are 25 students with special education services in grades K-5 at our school.

We are a Title I funded school in Virginia, and over half of the students in the school qualify to receive free or reduced lunches. The school has 230 students of which 56% are white, 27% African American, 8 % are Asian. My students have varying disabilities including Autism, ADHD, and SLD. The stools will help me provide small group instruction at one table as opposed to dividing up groups.
