My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
All of my students are extremely creative and think outside the box.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
Students in fifth-grade science are expected to explore the processes that led to the formation of sedimentary rocks and fossil fuels and recognize how landforms such as deltas, canyons, and sand dunes are the result of changes to Earth's surface by wind, water, or ice.
The sedimentator tubes will show how sediments fall and will be great tools to explore the process that leads to the formation on fossil fuels.
The Stream Erosion and Deposition Kit will allow students to create, observe, describe, and interpret the erosional and depositional patterns when rainwater flows over an area. They will be able to see landforms such as canyons, streams, and deltas. The sand will be used to put in stream tables.
