Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

5th grade is such an important year because everything kids learn in 5th grade will carry over into future grade levels. Think about it....there is a show called "Are you smarter than a fifth grader?" We delve into the basics in science which will be taught in more detail later in life. My students will be excited to have so much focus on foundational math, core science skills, and reading.

This year I will be starting year 15 with a group of amazing students that are just coming back from over a year of virtual learning due to COVID-19 and will need extra support and extensive instruction.

My students range from GT, special education, dyslexia, and ESL learners. Let's get these kids ready to engage and feel excited about their new school year back in their school building face-to-face!

My Project

During the 2021-2022 school year these materials will be essential for learning. Scholastic is a great way to engage students in current events. Kids eyes brighten when they see Scholastic magazines because they are relatable.

Instant gratification is key to learning!

Students see their strengths and weaknesses and helps them to make proper corrections. Using white boards allows students to answer in real time and allows me to see where each student is in the lesson. Dry erase boards allow the teacher to check for understanding. By funding this project kids minds open up and take them to places they may not know about.
