My Students

Our public school is a Title 1 school located in Grandfield, Oklahoma. At our schools, we strive to generate world-class citizens by teaching leadership and life principles. We model these skills in a positive, compassionate, and enriching environment in order to develop life-long learners and successful citizens.

My students range from grades 7-12th, and each and every individual carries unique characteristics into our learning environment.

These diverse students perform best when they are given the opportunity to show their true potential. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn this year!

My Project

ELMO is a digital document reader that has audio and recording features built in. With COVID-19 still affecting student learning, this device will help with the transition of students having to learn at home. With these features, students will have a direct pathway to viewing important documents and hearing my voice while learning new content. This product also has a "record" feature, which makes it a learning experience that can easily be retrieved at any time! COVID-19 is forcing students to be independent learners, however I feel their young minds still need guidance from the classroom -- even if this means listening and watching at home.
