My Students

My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.

My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher everyday.

I want to grow with them!

Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.

My Project

In just a few short weeks my students will come to my classroom to meet me. I couldn't be more excited. Back to school time is bittersweet because it is the end of the summer, but it is the start to an amazing year with 18 wonderful students.

Throughout the year we will challenge each other, grow with each other and become family.

Last year we put together a list of wish list items. Items that if we could add to our classroom would allow us opportunities that we'd love to have. This project is just that, our classroom wish list.

The sewing machine will add a new station to our favorite Friday MakerSpace. Students will have the chance to make their own creations. The salad spinner will help us be artists in a whole new way. The vinyl and heat press will be used on our new Cricut so generously given to us. I can only imagine the creations that will be made. The number cards will help us have unique numbers for group activities. The 3D filament will refill two of our favorite technologies to use all year. Headphones will replace our "backups" so that all students have good headphones to use.

STEM is such an important part of our classroom. These items will allow my students to be engineers in whole new ways. They will also be able to problem solve during our science MakerSpace time. I'm also excited to introduce them to this new Cricut technology. This project will fill a wish list that is from the heart. It will bring so many smiles to our classroom. Help us soar this school year.
