Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Twenty-five students of a varied reading level and ability need a warm and welcoming space to learn. Imagine having this atmosphere and not enough books to suffice such a hope. Our students are craving for their favorite stories to further explore their interests and curiosities.

Our students are a diverse group of learners.

They love to read all types of genres in the classroom. Our school is a city public school with a variety of cultures. We strive to provide a warm and educational setting for our children. Students have ample amounts of time to read during both regular school hours and after school too.

My Project

Our resources would be mostly used in our classroom library in the leveled bins. The Post-Its and laminating pouches will be used in our supplies area for multiple subjects and purposes. Both types of resources will greatly be used on a regular basis for our class. Students can choose new books to read independently for both classroom and homework use.

This project will make a difference because especially in a larger class, students will have a variety of books to choose from.

They will be very interested in these titles because it not only appeals to them, it reminds them that reading can be fun!
