My Students

Do you remember when you first learned about a single person that made a real difference in the world? My students need to discover that one person can be the change.

Our public classroom is located in a very rural area of Northwest Wisconsin.

Most of our students ride the school bus over an hour each morning and evening. Our school has a very high percentage of students on free and reduced lunch. My students come to school eager to eat their breakfast, see their friends, and learn.

My Project

My students need biographies to read to help develop their reading skills. I would like my students to learn that each person on our planet can make a difference in the lives of others. Biographies help them learn about others. Each of my students can be the change like the amazing people they read about. I know that each child has greatness inside of them. Reading about people that were willing to take a risk and work hard may very well inspire a young mind to dig deeper and make an important discovery.

Please help us purchase these books so that my students can read about famous people in our rich and varied history that made a difference in the lives of others.

I want my students to realize they have the potential to be the change.
