My Students

My students are children and deserve the opportunity to learn through play, inquiry, and discovery! My students rise to the challenge of learning to read, add, subtract, and much more! They also deserve the chance during the school day to play and learn like a child!

I teach twenty wonderful students in an all day Kindergarten classroom in a high-need community.

My students are a beautiful, multi-cultural group with differing abilities. My classroom is hands and brains-on, and we love to learn from one another and through music. We love to sing and dance. My goal is to inspire my students to believe in themselves and become lifelong learners. They have made my life brighter, and I would like to brighten theirs in return!

My Project

I am requesting career costumes, multicultural baby dolls, and art supplies to provide my students with experiences they deserve to have as young children! Our school days are spent immersed in reading and math, and my students can do amazing things. They work so hard, and I believe they deserve the opportunity to pretend and be creative. My students would be able to have baby dolls to use in the dramatic play lab that represent themselves and their families. They would also have the opportunity to make real-life connections with learning while using the career costumes in the dramatic play lab. The art materials would be used daily in the art lab. My students deserve the opportunity to pretend, act out their learning, and create; however, I cannot provide these materials for my students on my own income. Without your help, my students will not have access to these important early childhood experiences.
