Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager, driven, and full of energy when they enter our classroom ready to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. The goal of my project is to incorporate more independent centers where students can learn through play and develop their social-emotional skills. Students at this age learn best when they are on the move and are exposed to different tools when learning new concepts. The hopscotch carpet will help students learn their number sequence to 10. The counting bolts will help students learn 1 to 1 counting correspondence. Lastly, the alphabet tubs, CVC words, and magnetic letter tiles will help with letter identification and word building. All of the materials in this project align with skills students need to master by the time they enter the next grade.
