My Students

"Who wants center time?" and my students all shout ME ME ME! This is the highlight of my students day! During this time the children are given free choice to pick a center where they can go explore and play. Center time allows the children to develop many important social skills.

Our school has a warm sense of community.

It’s a place where parents of different races and ethnic groups get along. 70% of our students receive free lunch. My students are a wonderful group of 5 and 6 year olds who are eager to learn and grow. They are highly motivated with happy personalities.

My Project

My students love to engage in center time. The dramatic play area is one of the popular centers. I would love my students to have more materials to engage with. Dress up clothes encourages imagination. Playing with dolls and kitchen accessories allows the children to feel like a grown up. ABC magnetic boards are a wonderful tool to have in the classroom. It encourages the students to practice their ABC letters and sounds. I know that they would really benefit from these materials.

As a kindergarten teacher it is my job to create a happy and engaging learning environment.

Having the proper resources and materials helps me to achieve this goal. I have carefully selected materials that I know my students will use to learn and grow.
