Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from all over Latin America. They come from low-income households, but with a desire to improve their education to have a better future in this country.

With your help, we can acquire the tools and skills to reach those dreams.

My Project

I would like to give my World Language Spanish students the opportunity to have an annual Spanish Scholastic magazine subscription. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this Scholastic magazine, "Ahora" will only help enrich their experiences with current events around the world.

This magazine will enhance my students reading, writing, and speaking skills in the target language.

With a monthly magazine, my students will be able to choose from a variety of topics that will allow them to read independently.

They will also be able to choose current events that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and this magazine will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
