Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students come in wanting to learn more about science each year. Currently, we have only one microscope that we share among the classes. These eleven microscopes will provide the opportunity for the students to learn more about cells. The students will be able to work with partners or in groups while using the microscopes. They will study different types of cells, and later they will begin looking at the organelles of the cells.

My students will get a hands-on experience with the microscopes and be more engaged as they learn more about the functions of cells.

The microscopes will be shared among the four classes at our school. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other students as they observe and investigate cells. The use of the microscopes will enhance the learning environment for the students and possibly inspire them to continue their learning in the microscopic world.
