Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am blessed to work in a school that is diverse in students and that has an amazing new curriculum to use, The Creative Curriculum. Instead of teaching by themes, that are 2 weeks long, we work on units of studies that integrate all aspects of learning into one.

It is amazing to see these young learners get to learn through play and hands on investigations and experiences.

I want to bring the garden experience from the outside inside my classroom. I want the children to be able to see their garden grow! I would love for them to take ownership on taking care of their herbs and strawberries. If you are not familiar with Texas our spring can be super hot and it is hard to always get outside during the heat.

These indoor planters would be amazing for the students to see their plants grow. I want the individual ones so that they can also grow one that they can take home and share their experiences with their families. Finally I would love the play tent and gardener outfit for the students to be able to also pretend to be a gardener when they go to the play and pretend area in the classroom.
