My Project

Incorporating a school garden into the educational curriculum can have a profound impact on students' academic, physical, and social development. It also teaches financial literacy because growing your own food means spending less money at the store.

There are numerous compelling reasons why having a school garden is a valuable addition to any educational institution.

Here are some of the key benefits:

Hands-On Learning: School gardens provide an interactive and experiential learning environment where students can apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations. This hands-on learning enhances understanding and retention of academic concepts.

Science Education: Gardens offer a practical platform for teaching biology, botany, ecology, and environmental science. Students can study plant life cycles, soil composition, ecosystems, and the interdependence of living organisms.

Healthy Eating: School gardens promote healthy eating habits by exposing students to fresh fruits and vegetables. It encourages them to try new foods and appreciate the value of nutritious choices, which can have a long-lasting impact on their health.
