This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager and motivated to try new materials in the art room this year. This is my second year teaching at this specific school and last year, we were limited by the fact that our school building is too old to install a sink in our art room.

Help me give my students a place to wash their hands so we can explore materials we couldn't otherwise such as Clay, Paint, and Papier-Mache!

Already in the first day of art class with my new 6th graders, they expressed a strong desire to work with paint and clay. Acquiring a sink will make it possible for me to incorporate in my lessons the materials they love to work with or can't wait to try!
