My Students

Students at SHS are very diverse and eager to learn. Our population is 72% African-American, and all students receive free school lunch. I love that our students have the drive to learn, but it is unfortunate that supplies are a limiting factor.

My Project

Music stands are an essential part of the music classroom. The music stand provides a steady, upright, and adjustable way to view their sheet music while playing! Our current stands are quite outdated, and we are looking for your help in refurbishing our growing music program! While we are excited to be back in person, we are doing our best with what we have. Please consider donating to the Shaw High School Band Program today! Shaw High is a mostly African-American school with all students receiving free lunch. Thanks in advance from the “Sound of Silver!”
