This will be an in-class project, beginning with us researching, planting, and propagating pollinator plants. Students will be responsible for choosing the correct tools while gardening indoors using starter pots to transfer seeds outside, and use an indoor germinating kit with grow lights to assist with caring for their seeds. The goal is to create indoor plants and transfer them outdoors to become an official home for pollinators. This will allow students to work together in a real-world application while using the skills they've developed in class. We are requesting reusable seed starter kits, a garden trellis bird bath, a watering can, and more items for our garden.
Our class would like to make a difference in our community and beyond, as we learn about the importance of pollinators.
Students will plant seeds indoor using starter pots with a germinating kit with grow lights. As students small plants grow we plan to plant out doors in our school garden area. Students will then observe the pollinators.
