My Students

There is never a dull moment in my classroom! With me being new to my school, we are all getting to know each other while having a great time with our learning. For my students, they are all working through the challenges of disabilities that impact their learning as well as day to day routines. But you would never be able to know it with the way they interact with one another.

We are located in an up and coming area of the Nation's Capital with many resources for my students to explore.

However, it's what's happening inside of the classroom that have inspired me to create this project. It appears as though no matter the planning and prep time that goes into place, there are times in which an extra copy or two are needed. This usually takes place in the form of a worksheet coupled with a hands-on item to aid learning. The problem, as of late, is that the printer in the office is getting quite jammed. Now, more time than needed has been spent on attempting to find the errors and getting the printer up and running.

My Project

I'm not too sure about other professions, but a copy room inside of an elementary school is a complete experience! With only two printers to share among administrators, front office staff and quite a number of teachers, it can be quite busy. I won't even begin to discuss what happens when paper jams occur. Lately, no matter the time of day, there is a guaranteed line of teachers waiting to make copies. Even for the most prepared teachers, this happens. While this is a fabulous opportunity to check in with staff that are not normally seen during the day, I have come up with a resource that could be used inside of the classroom instead.

It's time that we get a classroom printer to satisfy our copying needs!

The HP All In One is a printer that meets our requests while not taking up much space. With the size of my class being small, this is the perfect resource that will allow any assignments going home, or additional worksheets an error free opportunity for production. With the HP All In One, we are also able to scan photos of students and families that are needed for our learning units. This is certainly important when it comes to preserving precious memories. An even better bonus is that the printer we are requesting can be used as a wireless resource and from your phone. I can't tell you how beneficial this is when it comes to last minute ideas that can be handled without the worry of paper jams and long lines. We are hoping that you are able to help us with our printing needs for our classroom!
