My Students

My students come to school daily, ready to learn. Many of them are unable to have their own library of books at home. The majority of of my students are Title I students, receiving free lunch. Most of them travel on a bus about an hour each way to attend our school. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.

The students in my class are working hard to become better readers.

My goal is for them to take ownership of their learning and get excited to be a reader!

My Project

The new books for our classroom library will help my students become readers! Overall, my students this year are low readers. Most of our classroom library books are above their reading level. We are working hard to get the students to grade level but need to take a step back with beginning reading books.

Help inspire my students to become readers!

I am requesting fiction and nonfiction books at their level to assist their love for reading. They will be able to choose from a variety of books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
