Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of energetic and enthusiastic young learners that are on many different levels cognitively. These centers and differentiated literacy activities will help me to reach all of my students regardless of their cognitive abilities and learning styles!

We are a kindergarten ICT class in a low income community.

We are made up of children with a variety of special needs as well as ELL's. My students are high energy and need resources to keep them engaged! I have a classroom listening center with no books that they can read! I am hoping to change that with your help!

My Project

We are in need of leveled books and fun phonics activities to use during our guided reading time and centers. The leveled readers on CD will help my students engage independently in reading books that are on their level! Also, the Sight Word Fishing Game is perfect for my students who learn best kinesthetically. The All About Letters CD ROM would be a perfect addition to the computer center. They are a fun way to learn the alphabet and their sounds. It is so important for our students to have materials that suit their learning styles and we learn best through play!

My students love to hear stories!

Teaching them to read books on their own will give them the ability to unlock so many doors! These literacy centers are the first step to reading. Helping these young students to continue their love of reading is life changing for them!
