My Students

I teach kindergarten at a public school located in Brooklyn, New York. I have the cutest group of children. They are all so special in their own special ways. We are a Title I school, and most of the children come from low-income, non-English speaking homes. Many of them come to school just to have a meal and someone to actually care about them.

Things we often take for granted are often hard for my students to get.

I'm looking for ways for the children to get a better understanding and a love for school and reading.

My Project

Basic supplies are sometimes so hard for our families to give, and I often buy supplies on my own for my students. Sometimes our teachers choice is enough but, most of the time it isn't. I want my students to start fresh in September. Fresh with new crayons, new markers and new pencils, even new pencils cases. This past year , our students missed out on so much. Many of our families were affected by covid and many of them lost their jobs. I don't want them to feel the burden about starting school and purchasing new supplies. Your donation will help these children with some of the supplies they will need to have a fresh start in Kindergarten!
