Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The student population at my school is 95% Hispanic, 3% African American, 1% Caucasian, and 1% Asian. Over 80% of the students in my room are learning English as a Second Language. I see about a thousand students every week, from Kindergarten to grade five.

My school is located in one of the poorest areas of the state.

Our families are plagued by poverty and high unemployment rates. All of the students receive free or reduced rate lunch, and some of them even go home without food on the weekends.

My Project

My kids use glue every day. We use it for fabric, paper, yarn and other materials in their projects. Without the proper glue, it just won't stick! To make it easier on us, we need new empty glue bottles that we can refill with our tap glue lids. We are currently running low and need a new supply! Also, we are requesting glitter to use along with our glue.

Your donation will help us out of our "sticky situation" for some new glue bottles.

Glue is something that needs to be replaced every year and we use it daily! These new glue containers and glue bottles with will last for years and years, helping countless numbers of students.
