This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For the past few years, our district has provided a subscription to Nearpod. This year that subscription has been removed, so we are only able to use the free version of this program. Unfortunately, the free program is very limited, so my students cannot access the amazing level of interactive lessons that we had in the past. My students loved singing along to a fun Flocabulary song about the content they were learning. They enjoyed sharing their ideas on a collaborative board and challenging each other in a content review game.
Nearpod opens up so many interactive opportunities for my students to learn and collaborate.
It has engaging experiences that include virtual field trips, collaborative discussion boards, music integration, brain break exercises, and so much more. It provides great teaching tools for whole groups, small groups, and independent learning. We experience amazing lessons in STEM, arts, and language arts.
My students and I are really looking forward to having this amazing tool back in our classroom!
