My students need a motivating, comfortable way to learn in the classroom. My students will feel free to sit anywhere they would like around the room and feel comfortable in these chairs and cushions.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a mainly Spanish/Chinese community. My students are all students that English is a second language for. My students are very special because they are trying their best to learn in a language that isn’t that familiar to them. They try their best and come to school happy and ready to learn something new every day. My students deserve to learn in an environment where they feel loved, comfortable and motivated to learn. These are students who don’t always live with their parents. They already don’t receive the love they deserve. I want to give them a classroom they deserve!
My Project
These wobble chairs and cushions will motivate these students to come to school and learn. They will feel free to move around the room, utilize the space we have to only enhance their learning. I would like to put these chairs at a table where we can alternate tables weekly so my students can all have an opportunity to use them. These students need love and motivation that they might not receive at home. They need to know that we believe in them and what they can put out into the universe. I know they will be so excited to see their new room!
