My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I know my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

After a successful first year at my school, I am looking to continue to build the music program.

I was fortunate enough to have many generous donors donate to my projects last year. I am looking ahead for this upcoming school year, hoping to continue to grow our music program!

My Project

My students need various supplies for this school year. We need to replenish our supply of classroom cleaning materials, such as clorox wipes, and other supplies like pencils and crayons.

I am so thankful to all donors that have donated to my classroom in the past.

My students have truly benefitted from everything that was donated to our classroom, from pencils, to drums, to white boards.

I am excited to have more rhythm sticks and scarves for my students to use since classroom sizes are growing and I do not have enough of these materials. We do a lot of rhythm activities so having more rhythm sticks will be awesome! I also asked for a listening center because station rotation is very popular in our school. My student would benefit from a listening station because it will give them a chance to relax on their own and get to listen to music without hearing all of the other noise happening in the school. Lastly, we need a bass set of boomwhackers for our school performances.

I know that my students will truly appreciate having these materials. I am hoping for a fun and successful year with my students!
