My Students

Our school is a high-needs, low-income, Title 1 public school in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Our students excel because our school fosters academic excellence, and all of the teachers are committed to their students' success. The administrators, teachers, and parents collaboratively work toward developing each student into a future productive and successful citizens. Our school is a Science, Technology, Math Magnet and is committed to STEM education as well as character development.

I hope to instill in them hands-on lessons that will last a lifetime.

You can help facilitate that! Your donation will give my students the tools they need to learn these valuable lessons that will stick with them as they grow. My students enthusiastically come to school inquisitive and excited to learn.

Every child in my classroom comes to school with unique life challenges, educational, and social needs. As their teacher, it is my goal to differentiate the instruction to inspire each and every student to achieve at the highest level possible. I thrive on seeing those "Ah ha" moments and watching their eyes light up with understanding.

My Project

The greatest predictor for reading success and building lifelong learners is access to books. When students have access to a great deal of quality literature, they are more apt to become readers for life.

I want to give my students the best, clearest access to the books I have in my classroom as possible.

While I have hundreds and hundreds of books in my classroom, they are not always easy to see. Sometimes they get lost in the sea of books and just need to be highlighted for the students. This rotating book storage case will do just that.

Book series placed in the storage case will be far more visible to the students. They will know just what books we have and will be able to get to them more easily. They will have access to many more books, getting them into their hands, and reading them. This will help my students to become better readers who love to read.
