My Project

COVID-19 deeply impacted the American medical system, particularly support staff in medical institutions. My anatomy classes inspire young learners (the majority of whom are students of color) to explore the medical field and all it has to offer. Not only do we need more nurses, but we also need folks in the medical field who are representative of the community population. During the pandemic, students missed out on years of hands-on learning. In Anatomy, we hope to bring that back through multiple dissections and exploratory labs. Hopefully, they leave my class motivated to enter the medical field and help rehabilitate our ailing medical system.
