My Project
When reading a story, nothing is more exciting to a student, than seeing a character in a story that reminds them of themselves. These books represent students of all backgrounds, and also teach students about the importance of kindness and empathy.
I would love to have a library of books that will embody the diverse population of students that is represented here in New York City.
I think that reading these stories will help to empower and motivate my students to be more empathetic and feel like they can accomplish anything if are willing to work hard and keep trying!
