Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our first graders are growing and learning in a "small school with a big heart", located in an urban, high poverty community. Despite the challenges that many of our students face, they never cease to amaze their teachers.

Our students are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.

They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers, veterinarians, and more! They are our future and we want to give them a great start on their unique journey to a successful future.

My Project

My school is experiencing a shortage in basic essential materials that are needed for our day to day learning. My students are living in poverty and their families are not able to help with classroom supplies. Please help my classroom get the materials and supplies that are necessary for a high quality learning experience. The geometric solids will be used for math hands-on math stations that will help my students grasp the concepts related to 3-dimensional shapes. These concepts are extremely difficult to understand without real objects to work with. The pencils and other writing accessories will help my students be prepared for the many pencil and paper tasks throughout the day. The colored pencils and paper will assist in creating projects and for valuable anchor charts. Every child, no matter what circumstances they come from, deserve the best, and that is what I strive to give them every day! These students face so many obstacles that could potentially get in the way of their learning; it would be a shame if basic learning materials were added to their list of obstacles. Please help my students get ahead!
