My second graders are a bright and lovely bunch of children who do their best in spite of being in an overcrowded, inner-city school. The entire school gets free lunch.

I'll be honest...Force and Motion, an important part of the New York State Science Scope and Sequence for 2nd grade, can be dull as dishwater! You don't get the same excitement level you would for dinosaurs or outer space or bugs, or hundreds of other things. I need to make this topic as thrilling as I can!

There are cool activities that students can use after I have taught the main idea of Force and Motion to make this seem fun and special! There is a whole tub of activities that students can use in small groups to reinforce what they've learned, a game to make learning competitive, and an overhead projector set that I can use to help teach these important concepts.

Help me make Force and Motion fun! The skills that they learn with these great games and manipulatives will help the students understand more difficult concepts as they go on to higher grades. Thank you for your generosity!!
