Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I teach in a school with students of many backgrounds. Sometimes it is difficult for the students to find books they can connect to because the stories do not relate to them in one or more ways. These books are a few books recommended to add diversity and inclusion to the classroom library. They have also been selected because the characters or the circumstances of the characters are ones that my students can relate to. Therefore, giving them more buy-in to read the story, make connections, and to think critically.
